In order to orient team members to their role in participating on an accreditation visit, mandatory training is held several times a year for persons appointed to serve on teams. For all Team Chairs and Assistant Chairs, as well as in-region Evaluators, a full-day workshop is held a semester prior to the visit (in May for Fall visits; in November for Spring visits). Team members who are out of the region and/or cannot attend the full-day workshop must participate in one of the two-hour conference call sessions.
These training events cover visit preparation and logistics; a review of the Standards and CFRs; and methods for conducting visits, including strategies that align with the two-visit model and focus on student learning.
