Protocol for Implementation
Conscious of its need to enter into international and transnational quality assurance activities in a thoughtful and reflective way so as to allow for adaptation and revision based on experience and engagement with colleagues around the world, the Commission has indicated that in the early years of accepting international applications it wishes to proceed cautiously. Accordingly, a protocol for implementation has been developed to ensure a diversity of geographic regions and institutional types. Colleges and universities that are considering WASC accreditation may find that their applications could be deferred in order to provide for greater diversity in the early years of international accreditation.   An early conversation with the Senior Advisor may help institutions to set realistic expectations about when their respective applications are likely to be considered.
