At its meeting on February 20-21, 2008, the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities acted to continue the imposition of a Warning to Bethany University. Warning is a public sanction reflecting the judgment of the Commission that an institution is not in compliance with one or more Commission Standards. The accreditation of the University continues during this period.
At its meeting on February 20-22, 2008 the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities acted to place Claremont School of Theology on Probation. This action was taken following a special visit to Claremont School of Theology, which took place November 11-14, 2007 and included a representative of the Association of Theological Schools. The action followed a decision in November 2006 to require the School to “show cause” why its accreditation should not be removed.
At its meeting on February 20-22, 2008, the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities acted to terminate the accreditation of New College of California. An institution’s accreditation is terminated when an institution has been found out of compliance with one or more of the Commission Standards.
At its meeting on June 21-22, 2007, the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities acted to issue a Warning to The National Hispanic University (NHU). Warning is a public sanction reflecting the judgment of the Commission that an institution is not in compliance with one or more Commission Standards. Initial Accreditation of the University continues during this period. This action is subject to the right of NHU to seek a Commission review within a specified time period.
