This invitation-only workshop will help your institution prepare for your upcoming accreditation review starting with the Institutional Proposal. Past participants have told us that this workshop effectively jump-started their planning and was critical to forging a team that took collective leadership for the review.
The workshop will take you through the entire accreditation process, beginning with the Institutional Proposal and addressing the two-stage site visit process: the Capacity & Preparatory Review and the Educational Effectiveness Review.
The active involvement of senior institutional leadership is critical to the success of the WASC accreditation process. Time will be set aside for active planning and preparation, so we recommend that your team (we suggest 4-9 members) be comprised of institutional representatives who will play a role in the development of the proposal and ensuing site visits.
Members of your team may include your president/CEO, chief academic officer, accreditation liaison officer, leadership from your faculty governing body (e.g., chair of the faculty senate; chair of the assessment committee), and the key individual responsible for institutional research.
During the workshop, each institutional team will also have a chance to consult with its respective WASC staff liaison. Institutions have found that attendance at this workshop is critical to building an understanding of the WASC process and to developing an Institutional Proposal that is meaningful to the institution.
