Richard Winn

Richard Winn is the Executive Director for the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACSCU/WASC). He joined WASC in 2003 and, as a Vice President, retired briefly in August 2012. He assumed his present role in December 2012. Previously, he was the Assistant Dean for Curriculum at Western University's College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also held faculty and educational leadership roles at Pacific Union College and four other colleges and college systems. Richard holds the EdD degree in Educational Leadership from the University of La Verne. He served three terms as a Member, Board of Examiners, for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. His doctoral dissertation studied institutions that had employed the Baldrige education criteria as the basis for reaffirmation of their regional accreditation.
